NYC Caregiver is a site developed by the New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA), a government agency concerned with improving quality of life for older adults and providing support for their families. The caregiver website provides information on services available to family caregivers of frail, chronically ill, or cognitively impaired individuals 60 or older. Services are also offered to grandparents or older adults who are caregivers to children aged 18 and younger. The site has a borough-by-borough Caregiver Resource Center Locator, as well as information and advice on paying for care, legal issues, caring for yourself, and communication tips.
