What You Need to Know

If your family member is "in rehab" (short-term subacute rehabilitation after an injury or illness) or may be going to rehab, there are a several points to consider. Most often, a person goes to a facility for short-term inpatient rehabilitation after a stay in a hospital. Decisions there may have been very rushed, and as a family caregiver, you may not be aware of all that rehab is, and all that it may mean for you and your family member.
